At Stortford Youth Choirs, we are dedicated to empowering young people through inspirational, fun and engaging choral singing. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to grow, sing the music they love, make new connections, and expand their musical horizons. We have big ambitions for our Youth Choirs from performing locally, to experiencing singing in some of the nation's most iconic venues and more.

In January 2026, we launched our Junior Choir (Years 3-6). Since our first session, we have grown as an ensemble and had two very successful recital concerts. At SYC, be believe in helping others through singing and sharing our talents: this term, the children chose to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital where we managed to raise over £200.
We are thrilled to announce that our INTERMEDIATE CHOIR for Years 7-8 will launch in September 2026, rehearsing on Thursdays 5:30-6:45pm. This is an exciting development for SYC as we grow our musical team and our musical offering to the young people in our region. This choir is the natural stepping stone for our Junior choristers, but also a place for new members in secondary school to come along and share their love of singing too. You can find out more about our choirs by navigating to their individual pages.
Your child will be a founding member of an ambitious, and talented choral group designed for young people, where the music reflects their tastes and interests, as well as exposing them to new choral styles and sounds. With ambitious concert plans, this is THE place for your child to learn to sing well, learn how to be part of a team, and experience the sheer joy of singing in a choir, led by a highly experienced Principal Conductor and a team of inspiring music professionals.
